Hi,
I played King's Quest VII on the macintosh decades ago when I was young. Thanks for bring such good classics back to play. I am currently using a PC now with intel core i3 and windows 7 os. The problem is my computer or the program seems to have difficulty bringing out the peach color. My characters faces are either green or chocolate brown. I tried changing the dosex to overlay with no results. I've right clicked as administrator and configured my computer to 256 bit system. I've even decreased the resolution to the lowest settings in the control panel. I am still having the same problem and I do not wish to play it with bad graphics. Is there anything that I can try?
Go to the Start button, go to Programs, go to GOG.com folder. Follow it to KQ7 folder, and find the "Graphics mode setup". Click on it, and IIRC, choose DDRAW.

Sorry, still doesn't work.
Maybe try the other options?
Also, make sure to open the dosboxKQ7.conf file with notepad and make sure the line "output=" is set to ddraw. It might not be saving your preferences
Are you installed in program folders? Because that could be causing issues.
