Though both games have their flaws (VIII especially), I find myself wanting to play both again.
King's Quest VII still has the same charm and clever puzzles the series is known for, and I would recommend it to any adventure fan.
While it was a major disappointment, King's Quest VIII was still fun to play. If you don't think of it as a King's Quest game it does okay for itself. For the cheap price it is a fine way to spend a weekend.
If you have never played a King's Quest game don't start with these two, but they are both nice bits of nostalgia that have aged fairly well.
