Hey, I had to use my windows gaming machine to unpack the distro file for my linux machine.

The game DOES launch but the first and only thing it does is challenge me for the copy protection. Now I can't use other programs while I'm gaming with Scummvm on this machine. =\ It asks me for a specifc word on a specific page. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE MANUAL PDF IS DAMMAGED SOMEHOW AND IS MISSING MOST OF THE PAGES BETWEEN THE TITLE PAGE AND PAGE 21...

The Gog version should either have the copy protection bypassed or make sure it has the complete manual in a usable format. =|

It's not a feature, it's a bug.

The copy protection table in the "manual" that GOG distributes (which appears to be taken from the fan product at www.sierragamers.com/copy-protection, rather than any communication between GOG and Sierra) doesn't actually include all of the answers you might need. For example, one of the possible copy protection questions asks for "the last word in Tips for New Adventure Players #1", which happens to be "manual" but isn't in that table.
