I played this lovely game several months ago, but then got on to other things. Recently I decided to start playing again, and so I loaded the game up on my new computer. I then moved my game saves to the appropriate folder. However, the only saves that appear in the load screen, are those that I create from starting a new game!

Even weirder, if I run KB as the administrator, no saves show up at all!

Anyone have any idea what is going on? This is making my head hurt!

If I recall correctly there's some non-intuitive behavior surrounding where some games look for saves on Win7 (and I think Vista as well) when they're installed in the Program Files (x86) directory, and I think that behavior also changes when the game is run as an administrator (thus the change in seeing/not seeing saved games). To avoid this the easiest thing to do is to simply install all of your games somewhere other than the Program Files directory. I'd recommend uninstalled King's Bounty, then reinstall it (but not in Program Files). Once you've done this copy over your saved games and see if it works.

Well, I think this was a great idea, and I thank you for it. However, while it solved the "run as administrator" problem, my old saves (from laptop computer with similar set up) still aren't showing up on the load screen!

How? :)
Haha, both responses helped with an issue I was having! Turned out it wasn't one issue, but two. That's how. ;)

Also, thanks again!
