I'll try mage no losses run on impossible difficulty in KB:TL. I'd like to get resurrection scroll at start. I know locations of items are randomly generated - I am restarting the game till I'll find it somewhere near starting location. I've heard that some shops have greater chance to generate this scroll and some will not generate it at all - unfortunately I can not find such "list". :(

So far I've done like 30+ restarts. I am checking six locations every restart:

- Greenwort: Castle Kronberg, Knight's Temple, Magic School
- Marshan Swamp: Furious Paladin's House, Temple
- Verlon Forest: Magic Academy

Are these good ones or only some of them are worth checking? Any tips for speeding up my search?

It's been my experience that you'll almost never find a Resurrection scroll near the start of the game. Most games I've never even seen one show up until I get to Ellinia. A resurrection scroll will occasionally show up in the main castle in Greenwort, but this typically doesn't happen until one of the restocks that occurs fairly late in the campaign. If you want to start with Resurrection then the easiest way is to start as a Paladin, as that class gets a Resurrection scroll as part of their starting gear, but obviously this deviates from your plan to play as a mage.

Thanks for reply. Some quote:
12) if you want to take warrior or mage, you might want to make sure you have access to the resurrection scroll early on; do this by "semi-cheating" by starting a new game, immediately save the game, tell the instructor that you won't take the test and you trust his judgement, then after talking to the king make a bee-line for the furious paladin in the marsh swamps (no need to engage any enemies); if he doesn't have a resurrection scroll then start a new game and repeat the process; if he has a resurrection scroll (17,000 GP), then load the save game you made and take the test (so you pick up some items at the start) and continue on with your game, knowing that you have access to resurrection early in the game (17,000 GP is nothing, especially with marauders)
So it seems that there is possibility that Furious Paladin could have the scroll.

The question is: only him?
No losses you could only theoretically generate if you play only with max lvl 4 units till the end. To generate no losses is easy once you have the 2 last rage spirits. With them you can generate an endless spiral with rage drain + linas chargers on lvl 1-3 unit that has fear on it. You can then cast unlimited resurrection. A good spell to avoid losses at the beginning is phantom.

Found another topic:
I remember that Mark's Castle, Knight's Temple, Magic School, Magic Academy, Desecrated Temple (the one on the cementary) and the Furious Paladin have a chance to have Resurrection.
... so it seems I'm looking for this scroll in good places.

Also, this is even more important! :D I can look into my saves to see if I get this scroll in whole game! =D

Interesting information- thanks for sharing it.
great , now i can finally check where i can find (or can find at all) that sacrifice scroll
right , after restarting the game i haven't spend a single gold coin on a troop.
Only on those rage/mana bottles and equipment.

I have inquisitors and i found the sacrifice + resurrection spell.
Sacrifice a troop which you get for free and then resurrect them :)
i now have plenty of inquisitors without having to waste runes in the mind tree.

how do i build up mana so early?

in a stroke of luck i got the predator which converts rage to mana.
Early on this is absolutely brilliant and im flying through impossible.

So this tool is definitely worth it guys.
Works like a charm.
