Hi,

Trust you are well.

How does combat work in this game? I have gone through the manual which suggests that combat outcomes are separately determined by individual body parts, so I have been consistently landing headshots but still those goons refuse to go down, have to almost empty full clips to takedown one person which forces reloading in the heat of a live encounter.. is the game bugged. I looked up PCGW but there's no documented fix for this issue.

Thanks.

Hi 7PCGamer,

Maybe try playing at a lower difficulty level?

Anyways I see you have joined the Kingpin Discord so post the same question there.

yes, i tried to join discord but dropped midway due to mandatory phone linking.. will retry with a different VPN setting. meanwhile, i am only playing on Normal just have a pistol right now, does the problem go away with better weapons?

thanks,
Hi,

Funny but you are shown as being a member of the Kingpin Discord already.

The pistol in Kingpin is very weak (like the blaster in Quake 2). It does get better if you upgrade it with the several pistol mods such as the magnum mod.

The first episode is pretty hard and is a lot different from the later episodes. The 1st episode is more like an RPG than a shooter and you don't start to get better weapons until later in the game.

yeah its gptten a lot easy now with the tommy gun.. just started the moker steel level.. also gamma of 0.62 seemed to gave helped, the setting can be found in the config file... nice game lot of character and atmosphere, also the AI was pretty good for its time, funny that i would consider pathfinding in Skyrim to be inferior
