Perfect, thank you for your information!
This is good to know for every Linux User, while Amalur won't support Linux officially.

Thanks, always good to have working reference specs.

I enjoy seeing how far I can push this older machine in Linux, so I nabbed a copy.
I can often get games running smoothly below min spec in Wine/Proton.

Distro: Linux Mint 19.3
CPU: i7-3930K
GPU: GeForce GTX 670

Maybe I'll have some time this week to try and get it up and running low-spec.
I'll report back with results :)
It is working fine for me with the current version of Proton using the Lutris launcher. I also tried with Wine 5.7-8, and it had a lot of audio dropouts, but Proton has shown no sign of that problem or any video problems, so it seems like the best choice for now. My system is a mix of old and new: Ubuntu 18.04, Intel i7-2600K, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.
I was surprised how well this ran... at first.

Given the older hardware (GTX 670) I thought there'd be some performance issues, but even with every setting maxed out the game still plays well.

Running into one major Issue, though, and that's stuttering caused by text overlays. I don't seem to be able to nail down exactly what's causing it.

Every time I sit in the inventory screen for a few seconds, or pick a lock, or talk to someone, or target an enemy or try and harvest a plant... any time any text gets added to the screen for more than a couple seconds it'll start stuttering. And unfortunately the issue seems to compound, as if it's holding the text in memory as long as I stay near the thing that triggered it. Walking far enough away from whatever caused the popovers seems to eliminate the stutter.

But no real frame rate drops... the game itself lags (most noticeable in the skipping audio track), but the FPS never goes below about 45.

Tested with:
- Both Proton and Lutris Wine versions
- With and without DXVK
- Graphical settings min through max
- VSync on and off
- Both Antialiasing = FXAA and disabled
- SuperSampling off through 2x
- FullScreen, Borderless, Windowed

Exact same result in all scenarios (aside from a lower framerate when DXVK is disabled).

So... if anyone has any ideas why text overlay would cause issue, I'd love to know ;)

UPDATE: After experimenting for a while, I found that enabling Force Composition Pipeline in the Nvidia settings (X Server Display Configuration > Advanced > Force Composition Pipeline) seems to dramatically help the issue. Perhaps this has something to do with the new HUD scaling options in KoARR(?)
