Just wondering, If it's possible to have A.I. on other islands now, why cant we have a fellow friend? Or would that be a bit difficult to achieve? :)

The short answer is the studio just doesn't have the resources to commit to implementing something as large as multiplayer since it is a lot more involved than it sounds and it wasn't planned to be implemented from the ground up.

It could happen some day in the future, but probably not any time soon if it does.
