r10k: Runs fine for me. What system are you using?
Layarion: i5-4690k
16GB RAM
gtx 1070
1TB SSD
1080@60 monitor
I run it on gtx970 with an old i7 4790k 8gb ram.... smoothly, on high... 60fps (with some occasional dips)
So it must be something wrong with your machine. Check if you processor is not everheatiing as this game is very
pcu hungry...
Layarion: The settings keep setting the graphics to high, setting the xml to read only still results in a game that doesn't run great, cut-scenes somehow lag on the lip sync.
what a terrible state this game is in. when i play i game, above all it can't feel sluggish, and this game feels like that + it feels clunky.
regretting the $25 i spent.
lmtgg: Same here and my PC specs are more than adequate to handle KCD and then some.
I've played games like Oblivion, Skyrim, the Witcher series, Borderlands, etc w/keyboard and mouse many times over without any problems that I can recall. Yet with KCD all of sudden it's like I'm all thumbs - controls not intuitive at all.
And that's just one aspect of the game that leaves feeling aggravated rather than actually enjoying the gameplay. Nah, for me this title was not worth the $25. Perhaps the developers will improve with their next roll-out but I won't be spending my money to find out.
Well it's a different game to one's you've mentioned. This one is more about the story/character and realism.
And don't forget this studio didn't have the budget of a AAA developer... Just the good people of Kickstarter. There will be some problems, it's expected.
But if you do give this game a chance I think you'll see that in the end it was worth it. Trust me. This comes from a guy that's been playing games for over 25 years (got over 500 titles on Steam plus another 200+ on other platforms and a freaking PS4 just for exclusives) so I think I've got some comparison.
Give it a chance and I promise you. You won't regret hanging around in beautiful Bohemia. I mean I just spent an evening with a priest (who was supposed to help me find a killer of one dude that I was looking for) drinking and after the guard came too silence us we trashed the place, beat them up and ran to the church to puke all over the bell tower trying to ring the bell and waking up entire village, just to impress two wenches with whom we later on went to have some fun in a barn.
Come on... This is great!!!
Peace
