I just bought and installed the game with all DLC, started playing, and got about 10 steps before a thing pops up on the screen telling me "You have activated the "From the Ashes" DLC" and the game appears to completely freeze. No key does anything. Hitting escape does nothing. Waiting a while does nothing. Hitting every single key on the keyboard does nothing. It just sits there. The only option is to end-task the game.

So I tried uninstalling that DLC; in the same spot I got the exact same message for another piece of DLC.

What am I missing here?

I unloaded all DLC, and now its popping up to say "tournament" how the bleep are you supposed to play this game?!

I know it may sound silly, but for me the game never shown me or atleast haven't noticed at the beginning certain actions require you to keep holding the key.

So for instance as soon as you step out of the outer bailey at the prologue and all the dlc notifications come you just have to hold down the Esc key.

yes, alot of interactions require you to hold down certain keys. have you been able to get the game going?

Yeah, that cleared it right up. Man, what bonehead designer thought of that? "Ya gotta press and hold the button... but nothing is going to TELL you that."

Well, at least now I can reload the DLC and actually start playing.
