Often when I try to fund something (an archer tower, tree, wall, etc) my coins will just drop onto the floor and not into the slots that appear over the target of my funds. I cannot figure out why it would happen. Do I not have enough builders? Is my population/level not high enough? Last game I could build a wall on the left side of my base but not on the right. Is there a pattern I'm missing? Am I not standing in the right spot or is it just a bug? Thanks!

I'm pretty certain that if you can see the slots, you have enough builders/population/town level (actually, I think that the only thing that matters is town level). Are you perhaps trying to just quickly tap down key to spend coins? Tap drops them on the ground when you want to recruit people. For building, you have to HOLD the down key for a while, until the bar fills.

OR you may not have enough money. If you run out of money before the bar is full, they will fall to the ground.

No other ideas, sorry.
