Hi, i had the wont launch/resolution issue, i managed to get it to work thanks to the gog support team
after sending him my dxdiag and a list of all my processes running during a clean boot, he said to disable GoogleCrashHandler.exe
LiveComm.exe
GoogleCrashHandler64.exe

so i did but still nothing happen, so i left it for most of the day, then about 5 hours after i last tryed the game suddenly started to run, i told him this and he said to try run it on another user account, and now it seems to work fine on there, starts up fine, sound and resolution is fine

so hopefully this info could help a few others, and if in doubt ask the great gog team for help :)
