Just reporting.

This happened I think when I was negotiating peace or something else with a neighbour. After this screen appeared, the game continued normally, albeit without music. I think when the next crisis screen opened up, music resumed. Or I loaded the game and I never seen the bug again.

Bump! I encountered a similar bug (specific text may vary) a couple of times already. Also, after you found a tribe and the other clans organise in their respective tribes as a response, one of the tribes was called "O" (not sure if letter or number). As soon as I tried initiating a diplomatic action with one of the members, a similar bug occurred. It didn't surprise me back them, since I thought to myself "That O-name was definitely a bug of sorts" and almost expected an error.

I suppose it is unrealistically optimistic to expect some kind of a patch to fix such (rare) hiccups.

Sorry for not providing screenshots, but RafaelLopez's attachment sums it up pretty nicely.

Huh, I missed the screen shot last time. Somehow it makes the game look even better, despite being a photo!

And no, it really is not practical to make any updates for the Windows version. I don’t think I could run the scene compiler, let alone the C++ compiler, from 2001 or so.
