Hello, all :) So, I have... played? the demo/interludes to KR0, and I didn't really get into 'Entertainment', but I did find 'Demonstrations and Limits' rather fascinating. I'm wondering how indicative these little tid bits are of the actual game.

Also, how painful is it waiting for each act to follow?

Thank you!
It's (by design) a slow game, so at least the pace of updates fits the theme. :-P

Gameplay-wise, TE is the odd bit out; normally you control characters and explore/interact as in L&D. Thematically, they both tie into events in the main game, especially Act III: the distillery from TE is introduced (and Junebug actually sings in the bar, at last), and the hidden tape section in L&D starts to make more sense when you discover just what Lula & co. were doing underground.

I'm afraid it's hard to guess whether you'd love/hate/love-hate the game if you reacted so differently to the interludes.

Thanks for your input :) I read a review of Act I on rpgfan.com, and that also helped (my favorite part of the review was a 'gameplay' score that simply said: "The letter Q"). I like slow, artsy, experiential stuff, so I think I'm going to give it the go ahead. Though... I may just wait until the whole thing is available.

So, I went ahead and bought KR0 - I figured $17.50 for three acts was a good price, even if the other two acts don't happen soon (let's hope that's a worst case, though). I'm at Act I, Scene V and I'm really liking what I have played.

It is a lot of reading, but the quality of the writing is done well enough that I feel it adds to the experience. In fact I would venture to say that reading/directing the course of the dialogue is just as much of the experience as anything else the game has to offer.

It's almost like the 'game' is an interactive stage play/script more than a point and click adventure.

So far, my two cents (for anyone who reads this): if you catch the game on sale for the first three acts - grab it! I don't know how I would feel paying $25 for the unfinished product, but what's there (that I've played) is total quality :)
