JimPhelps: But the lesson is not to buy season passes and never to pre-order ...
Micro-BIOS: I don't care too much about the waiting. When a new episode arrives,it gives me the opportunity to replay all the previous ones to refresh my memory, and I enjoy them again and again.
And a few months ago they clearly stated it was not dead. They just work without time constrains until they feel it's finished. That's how art is made. On the creative process we tend to forget that this game is more a piece of art than anything else.
Yes, I agree. The creative process can't be forced into a schedule. That's true. But wouldn't it then be more honest and more sensible to sell each chapter individually? In this case, if you bought the season pass right at the beginning, the developer gets all the money right at the start and whether or not the developer is going to deliver is not in your hands as a customer. If you personally don't care, fine, but I do.
As for what they stated a couple of months ago, I don't care too much about that. Fact is they have not delivered for very nearly two years. There are bits and pieces here and there, but if that's all they came up with in two years then it doesn't look good. I would have assumed that going into such a project they must at least have the story outlined. You just don't write a couple of chapters of a story without knowing where it should go and then release these snippets to the public. But in that case: where are the remaining two chapters? At the current rate of slowing down it could be 2020 until we get the final chapter. Of course you can say that this increases replayability, but you know what, I don't care about that. If you watch a movie you don't stop after act 2 to place the DVD on a shelf for two years until you watch the final act.
It was just my opinion. You don't have to agree. But I don't have to change my opinion either. Sorry. :) But no hard feelings.
