Classic Kane & Lynch, the PC port sucks ass as always.

I'm having an audio glitch everytime I pause the game, tons of bassy static coming from my speakers and it only stops when the level ends. Anybody having similar issues?
Try checking the sound settings in the game's main menu. On PCGamingWiki and some of the posts I read on Steam Community you can change the audio from software to hardware mode or OpenAL to DirectSound. Not sure if it'll resolve the issue but it's the only fix I see when it comes to sound. That fix was intended to prevent the game from crashing, but it might solve your issue in this case.

I am having the same issue. When I alt-tab or go to the in game menu the audio pops super loud a few times and I won't have any audio until the game loads a new level or I quit to the title.

Cool. Glad to hear that. Hopefully, it resolves the issue for others who come across the same problem.

I use a AE-7, have no probs.

Although sound is implemented in OpenAL (EAX was with the end of the WinXP era included into it) I used Creatives ALchemy to see what happens. Resulted in weird (bassy static)? sounds when switching into the main menu. I disabled ALchemy, again no probs. So maybe incompatible hard ware and/or driver.

So try activate Direct Sound, is the software implementation and should fix any sound related issues if you configuration can't handle this games or other openAL uses properly.
