The translation is available in Italian, French and Spanish.

Installation

1/ Download the language pack you want to install

2/ Extract the "DreddVsDeath" folder of the zip file into your game folder to merge the two folder.

3/ There is also some regedit file that came with the translation zip, execute the one corresponding to the version of Windows version you have
x64 if you have a windows 64
x86 for the 32 bits one

4/ To finish, you will need to set the Dredd.exe file to execute as administrator (compatibity tab)
This is mandatory or the game will stay in English (I think this is because without admin right, the Exe will not read the Language Dword key in the registry).

5/ You can now launch the game and it will be fully translated.


English voice with translated Texts

For those you want to have the text in their native language and want to keep voices in English.
Just follow the installation procedure above.

You will have then to rename a folder and a file.

Go to the DreddVsDeath\Sounds folder

Just delete the XX_gmsnd and the Spch_XX folder a
(where the XX = Sp for spanish, it for italian, Fr for french)

Make a copy of the Spch_En folder and name it : Spch_XX
Make a copy of the en_gmsnd.asr file and name it XX_gmsnd.asr

Example for the french version.

Delete spch_fr folder and fr_gmsnd.asr file in DreddVsDeath\Sounds folder
Copy and rename the en_gmsnd.asr file to fr_gmsnd.asr
Copy and rename the folder Spch_En file to Spch_Fr

Uninstall

The simpliest way to return to English is to remove The admin right on the Exe and delete the Dword key in the registry :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Rebellion\
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Rebellion\
depending of you windows version.

why do you have the reg file there ?
you could just rename the ITA, SP and FR files to EN and copy it over the original files.
Done.
No registry entry is necessary.
You just have to backup the original files if you want to change it back to english.

the registry entries dont work for me in the gog version.
i tried but nothing is working.
i got the german files and the registry entries but the subtitles of what dredd says stay english.
the rest of the game is german.
