NuclearBurrito: Yes, nothing happens. It seems like it's loading something after the game is supposed to start, but it never does.

I'm running win7 64 bit and I tried running DreddHDConf.exe as an admin/with a few compatibility modes.
I added a new version (dreddHD.7z) with a couple of fixes to the loader. It should now also throw an error message more easily in case something goes wrong, I'm hoping this will help me pinpoint the reason for the malfunction. If it still does nothing, and does not throw an error message, I'll add even more exception catching clauses to the loader.

The windows 7 loading thing stays up for a bit longer, but still nothing. No error message either

Hey, I probably managed to fix it! I installed Windows 7 and tried it myself, and it crashed just the way you described. Seems I was passing wrong kind of arguments to ReadFile, which caused the loader to crash on Windows 7, but not on Windows 8! Fascinating!

I uploaded a new version; Fingers crossed this time! :)

It worked ! Thank you very much for your efforts, I also noticed you tried to fix Redline, so if you're still on it, good luck !

No problem, thanks for being patient. :)
I added a new version, which allows for the user to supply their own executable, in case the default dredd.exe is not found.
Thank you, mate.
What about aspect ratio?
There is an alternative version with automatic aspect ratio.

I'm currently using that. :) No need to switch to another then.

Both tools get the job done. :) As far as I know, there are no big differences.

RaepDollars: snip
Hmm, unlike the game itself, the tool doesn't seem to work in WINE, probably due to some .net incompatibility.

I'll see if I have the free time someday to check everything out on Linux side. I started working on this once, but had trouble getting WINE to even start working, something to do with 32bit/64bit troubles, so I got frustrated and stopped. I swear installing WINE used to be a whole lot easier a decade ago... I'm juggling a lot of projects right now, along with full-time job, and this patch is not really high on the list at the moment.

I'm on an Ubuntu~xenial derivate (Mint) and just used the WineHQ PPA to automatically install and update 64bit WINE.
Once I got the deprecated version that comes with Mint wiped from the system before installing the more current one, everything went without any hassle.

"Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death" ran out of the box (like many others).
