For some reason the mouse controls don't work. I set it in the controls menu for wasd+mouse1 for shooting, but after that when I press esc the ingame controls haven't changed in any way. What did I do wrong? Help!

I'm assuming you're trying them with the original single player campaign, which won't work. There basically needs to be a script in the level to allow it. So instead, I recommend Rocket-powered-rabbits and Ozymandius if you want to experience mouseaim in single player mode. The forum does not allow direct links so unfortunately you will have to use the search function at Jazz2Online instead (just google it, it's the trusted Jazz Jackrabbit fansite).
