AFAIK JA2 Stracciatella is incompatible with JA2 1.13, so you cannot have both.

What's the best way to play this classic game in 2024?

1.13 is made with experienced players in mind. Stracciatella has nice quality-of-life additions, but isn't yet feature-complete as I understand.
