Has anyone tried this mod?

If my memory serves, JA2:UC was released in 2005 or 2006 and was an excellent total conversion at the time. New factions were dropped in, piles of new weapons/items, brand new RPCs and the such.
It definitely steps up the difficulty from vanilla JA2, as your team enters the country unarmed (and only issued a single pistol or so at the airport), but once you get used to the fierce combat, vanilla JA2 will never be the same.
Great mod, been a long time since I've played it, hope it works with the GoG release. (I would re-DL a copy of it, if I could find some reliable sites for it. I believe the Bear's Pit is working on a 1.13 release of Urban Chaos, possibly with new updates.)

It's realyl fun to play, but i ran out of ammo most of the time, but it got "new" weapon enchants. Basically i added a new barrel to my weapon that used 4.5 ammo and it turned into a new one (with new graphical look even) and took 5.56. Was hard as hell, mostly because i am ued to solo/dual char all levels =/
It was really a big step from JA2, new maps, items, pockets on armor, new npc's, tiles and so on, but with the 1.13 patch maybe not so "new" anymore. It's still good =)
And make a backup of your game because it overwrites some/most of the files of JA2
