Is there a way select or move multiple mercs simultaneously during the pre-combat phases? It's a little annoying moving them one at a time to get to the same location.

Yeah, you can drag a box around them, unfortunately there is no way to actually do something like Shift Click on portraits to select people that are not close to each other.

If you mean the first JA then you select a merc and hold the right mouse button down whilst you click the left. (If memory serves..)
