Hi everybody,

I'm playing JA Deadly Games tutorial campaign and I have some doubts:

1. When I heal people, their action points are not fully restored and also in following missions their APs are reduced: how can I make my mercs have all of their APs again? Should I make them rest for a mission?

2. How do I use a toolbox? Example: I've bought a chainsaw (WOW!!!) at 33% health. How can I make Vicky repair it?

3. What is wisdom for?

4. What is dexterty for? Is it used to move silently so the merc can approach an enemy without being heard?

5. What is agility for? Is it just for APs?

6. Pistols like Beretta 9mm need less APs to shoot: do they do less damage then other pistols or is range the only difference?

7. What's critical ability to use knives?

Thanks for anybody who will help me, it would be great if I could find a manual for the game!! :)

1) Not sure about the AP's but yeah if they are injured they will probably move slower.

2) Give the toolbox to a merc with a good mechanic stat and inbetween missions leave them with a bunch of equipment and they will get to repairing them.

3) Wisdom will effect how often a merc gets a stat increase and level up.

4) Dex will effect stuff like stealth and i think helps (along with other stats) with shooting, lockpick, swimming, taking damage from mines etc and is probably an important skill for using knives. I'm not sure though :)

5) Agility like Dex will have an effect on a bunch of different areas but it's biggest modifier will be AP's.

6) Dunno about the Berreta.

Just in case you don't know, the canteen will restore Stamina in mission, useful because as your stamina drops so does your AP. And make use of the F9 key, it shows which mercs have a line of sight with the enemy.

Hope that helps.
Let me add some comments to the previous answer.

1) You cannot heal during a mission, and health is a part of what calculates the AP. What you need to do is to heal between missions by having a doctor, someone with medicine skill use a medicine box (there's 2 types) where they normally use the weapon. The doctor option appears when they wear this medicine box.

2) Use the toolbox in the mechanics right hand (like the medicine box in previous question), then choose repair. The stuff in the left hand and in the mechanics pockets will be repaired in order, starting from the left hand. Sometimes not all things get repaired because there's too much to repair.

5) In a previous post there was a formula of stats that affects AP points. It is health/20 + Agility/10 + Dexterity/20 + (1+experience level)/2. So Agility is better for AP than dexterity.

6) Beretta is like an Uzi gun, one of the fastest guns, but less accurate and do not deal good damage. The pistols that do deal good amount of damage are hand canons like 357 magnum or 44 Redhawk. They're a bit slower to shoot with though.

7) This is just a little theory of mine, but I think marksmanship plays a big role, just like it does for firearms. For example, try using a knife or chainsaw with Lynx or Scope; in my experience, you hit almost every time. Close combat usually isn't worth it though in my experience.
Thanks guys!
your explanations clarified me several points, now I have a few doubts left: I activate doctor option on my doctor (Doc), and I can see on his portrait: 119/119. I suppose it's the quantity of HPs he can heal. Then I activate "patient" option on injured mercs and I can see on their portrait "-32" o "-12", I guess this is the quantity of HPs they should be healed to go back to full health.

Should I play one mission before they heal?
I think this apply to repairing items, doesn't it?

Thanks!
Yeah, you need to wait one mission while they are patients. If the doctor does not have high medical skill, sometimes not all Health will heal.
Thanks great!
Will I have to pay their fee also in the mission when they'll be patient/doctor?

Yes, but when they are patients, it's half the fee. Just try it out, you'll see what happens.
