Starting a new game and i've edited ja2_Options.ini and some other ini files to get the game i want which is fairly easy, but there are some things i'd like to do which i haven't been able to figure out:

1. I want to change the traits of Miguel, Carlos and Dmitri since i don't like those (doesn't fit my playstyle).

2. I would like the used section of bobby ray's to offer items that are sometimes better than the items my current progress otherwise allows me to buy. (Otherwise i don't really see the point of the used section)

3. Seen in the Items.xml that there is an ammo type called depleted uranium, but it doesn't show up when i play. Is there a way to make bobby ray's sell it, and if it is, then how?

4. I want to remove the dislike some mercs have toward another, as i'd like to have the entire roster available to me, but can't figure out how.

4. And a question; does tracer and match ammo have the same penetration characteristics as AP ammo? Read in an old guide that there were two different types for each, tracer and tracer AP and match and match AP, but since i don't seem to get the AP versions i thought maybe they dispensed with one of the versions. If that's the case what type is left, AP or non-AP?

1 In mercProfiles.xml, change mercs new/oldSkillTrait according to list in file (old/new depends on whether vanilla/1.13)

2 Afaik(!) items in BR used category may already have +1 lvl coolness above the new stuff, dunno how to modify that.
Just cheat-summon the item into inventory, there is imo not much difference

3 The use of DU ammo is one of the most heinous war crimes ever committed,
as somebody who "even" refuses to use mustard or tear gas
(the latter is also banned in wars despite often used by governments vs their own citizens)
i certainly wont help you on that even in a game.

4 Again in merc porofiles .xml, change all values for <bHated[n]> to 255

5 (aka 4 2nd): atm depends on specific ammo; ammo characteristics are defined in ammoTypes.xml
Thanks for your answer. I was able to make most of the modifications i wanted to make.

As for modding the used section of Bobby Ray's you may very well be right that it already has +1 coolness. I've been able to find things there in the past that wasn't in the other selection of guns. I wouldn't mind giving it +2 coolness tho if i knew how. I don't simply want to cheat myself to whatever guns i want, but still have some restriction on what's available to me. I suspect +2 coolness wouldn't make all the coolest guns available, especially playing with the option of a slowly progressing bobby ray's as i am, though i would have to test that to be sure.
It's also much more exciting to visit bobby ray's not sure of what you're gonna find and maybe find a gun that even just slightly better than cheat yourself to all the best guns in the game.

Regarding Depleted Uranium shells, i agree with your point of view, but seeing myself as someone who has a firm grip of the difference between reality and fictitious things like games, books or movies, i feel quite sure that me using something like that in a game doesn't affect my moral outlook. That I for instance find Clint Eastwood's characters in spaghetti westerns to be really cool, i still know that if i meet one of them in real life i would find them utterly reprehensible. This being a case in point.

If you are speaking of few hours since the apparently successful attempt to register,
perhaps wait some more as the mods may be afk, and atm the high temperature reduces agility ;)
else try with different nick name, perhaps also different IP (wait til dynamic IP changes, anonymous proxy etc)
some years ago several failed registration attemtps lead to the automated process telling me
that the specific user name and related IP (despite dynamic&elite proxy;) was banned,
while the actual account iirc was confirmed rather quick.
Remembered i wanted to make gun barrel extender and rod and spring removable too, since i have serious problems with committing to any weapon and usually don't use them before i'm ready to assault meduna. Had a look at attachments.xml, but that was all greek to me.

Edit. nvm. found it in items.xml
