Hello,
Originally this game was released with the ja2 source code. Does the version on gog also include the source?
Regards,

Not as far as I can tell.
There's no file or directory containing anything that looks like the JA2 source.
It might be gog didn't obtain the rights to distribute that as well.
There are 2 versions of Wildfire, v5 and v6.
v5 was the first one and was published by i-Deal Games.
v6 was published and (digitally) distributed by ZUXXEZ and now also in slight altered form by gog.com
The difference between the 2 versions is like the difference between an alpha or early beta and the final release.
v5 was ver buggy and received a lot of (unofficial?) patches in the form of new files for sectors.
I have no idea if v5 is still being distributed.
I also have no idea if v6 is being distributed with the source code.
As far as I know Wildfire is only being distributed digitally at this time.
You could ask gog.com support about it.
If you get no for an answer, you might try ZUXXEZ.
They are however more expensive as they're selling at € 9.99.
I'm interesting in knowing the answer to this question myself. It is my guess that some mods that are out there (e.g. v.1.13) must have made use of the source code distributed with wildfire.
If gog will not distribute the source code then who does or is there a link to a code repository somewhere that has it?
While still on this topic, does anyone know the license what kind of license the code was on?
Cheers!
