today i upgraded from win 7 to win 10
ja2 now does not display correctly, the edges are outside the display area
does anyone have a solution for this? i tried win 7 compatibility mode

Try right-clicking on the executable, clicking on "Properties", selecting "Compatibility" und activating "Disable Display Scaling On High DPI Settings".

I found that this setting is a common cause for problems with lower resolution games on Windows 10.
