Hello,

I own Jagged Alliance 2 (1.12,vanilla) with no 1.13 mod or even A2 Stracciatella.

After severals games, Mike never appear, I know to make it appear that we must capture several cities (at least 3 cities)
and in the next quote of the Queen she will say something like "I have a surprise for them" after that,Mike is supposed to randomly appear in an important sector like Mine or SAM site.

I saw him sometimes appear in H13 in Alma, so I'm having captured four SAM sites, and all mines but for some reasons Mike never appears and this for several games, even by restarting a new game: nothing ...

this part of the game is bugged or something? one of you has already happened to you to find it elsewhere than in mines and SAM sites? I begin to despair of meeting him one day. :(

It's been a while, but I remember encountering MIke after:
- completely taking 3 cities with their mines
- taking the west, east and center SAM site

I remember encountering him in random city sectors, not necessarily mines or SAM-sites.
Not sure if that was before or after springing the jail.

Yes I have noticed that when the elite troops of the Queen appearing (black shirt) there is a strong possibility that Mike is also in the same area as them.

Oddly in all my new game play Mike never appears in a missile sector sam but each time in the same mine area.

However,something I've never been able to understand: if we find Mike in one area and that our team escapes from the sector, hours after Mike is gone and no way to find it in any of the other sectors, I always ask if it is simply not a bug or other cases: the player can not only meet that Mike once.

Never had that situation. I always killed Mike when I encountered him.

In one of my first full play throughouts I distinctly remember encountering Mike in one of the road sectors between Estoni and Meduna. I had read a ton about the game up to that time and was completely taken by surprise to see him there, a *wrong* place, but he was, dialogue, G11 and everything.

The only thing I can tell about that play (it was years ago already), it was vanilla 1.12 installed from GOG most likely. I might have been messing with game data myself a bit, but probably only character data and some gun stats that I found *wrong* so nothing that *should* change anything about Mike's arrival.

I've played this game through literally dozens of times. I know I have no life. Lets move on.

I've had Mike appear either in one of the SAM sites or Tixa prison 99% of the time. What I've noticed is that it depends how you play and which objectives you complete first as to which site he appears. I usually play through a similar order of cities and sites I take so I almost always find him in the SAM site below the center city with the hospital. You have to trigger the queen scenes and I think after the 4th or 5th one Mike will appear. I've never run away from a fight with him so I don't know if he ever reappears if you don't kill him the first time.

Mike will show up when player progress reavches the value
which is defined in ja2Options ini to trigger his appearance, by default 50.
Not sure whther he can appear in all sectors, perhaps only those who have a garrison assigned.

Sorry to answer so long after, I had completely forgotten this topic.

In short, after many games Mike finally appeared, thanks to all for your advice, as expected, I change the status of the topic into resolved.
