I am new to this game, and I think I am going to have fun with it, but it is really frustrating to figure out what to do. I look at walk throughs and it just says "take a new sector" or "transfer guards" but i can't find anything that tells me how. I did finally figure out how to get to sector 59. the battle seemed fairly easy it took me a long time to figure out how to find the micro purifirer i was searching in boxes, and searching in trees I didn't realize it was a tiny brown dot that one of the guys i killed dropped. It was easy to see the white piece of paper, and the medical kit, but the micro purifier is almost imposible to see on my comp.

Anyways so I have taken the first sector a few times already (I just kept re-starting the same day until i could figure out what i was doing.) but the walk throughs I read says transfer 4 guards to the new sector before I move on otherwise the bad guys will just take the sector back, but it doesn't say how. if my mercs are all in sector 59, and my guards are in 60 how do i bring 4 of them from 60 to 59? I have tried for a while, and still can't figure it out.

I think I am going to have a lot of fun with this game, but so far it has been pretty frustrating trying to figure it out.

Any help would be great. thank you very much.

Edit: I figured out how to transfer the guards.

Heh, why hasn't anyone answered?

When you are on the tactical screen, click on Map in the top bar. This takes you to the sector overview of Metavira, similarly to when you start the day. Right-click on the sector where you want to transfer the guards from (repeat as needed), then left-click on the sector where want to transfer them to (repeat as needed).

I really suggest to read through the manual (it's included with the install, or it's available from on GOG.com from the bonus goodies) for your maximum playing experience. There are a lot of things that you most likely won't figure out on your own, because the game doesn't draw your attention to it. There is no tutorial of sorts (like in Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games), so you really need to go through the manual in order to learn how to play the game. Trust me: it's worth it!

By the way, what is your starting team?

Edit: crap, I just read your "edit". Anyway...
