So i'm almost done with the first Jagged Alliance as someone new to computer gaming what should I play next. I have a list of some obvious choices. Can you help me ad to it. I loved Jagged Alliance, and I love Shining Force. Also please try to recommend games I can either get on GOG or Steam, as that is the only way I get games now. Here is my list so far:

1. The other Jagged Alliance games, I want to do them in order, so I guess next is JA: Deadly games, then JA2

2. From what I read the first 3 X-Com Games, are great so I am thinking of picking them up on steam soon.

3. I have also read that Silent Storm is a good game similar to Jagged Alliance so I am thinking of that too.

4. This one really has little to do with the games mentioned but it is turned based, I am going to give Fallout a try. It looks like a game I would like.

So, help me ad to my list, Preferably either RPG or Strategy, although a game like Syndicate is catching my eye, and it isn't listed as either, it just looks like something I would like. Also I prefer games that aren't First person. I like to see the character(s) I control. Games from any time period would be great, although as you can see right now I am leaning towards 90s games, I think Silent Storm is the only game I mentioned not from the 90s.

Any help would be awesome, thanks!
JA:DG is nice, but nothing more than that.
Skip to either JA2, Fallout and Fallout 2 or the X-Coms.
Fallout Tactics is more like JA and JA2, but isn't as good as, JA and JA2, Fallout and Fallout2 or the X-Coms.

JA2 has the advantage that it's been seriously modded. Play it once, than install the 1.13 mod for a new playthrough. Than start installing mods.

For Fallout and Fallout 2 you should install some mods before playing, like the high resolution mod, children patch and restoration project.

The first X-COM game is quite difficult to say the least, if we are talking about the Microprose original :D.

Many, many men will die for you in that game ...

You'll definitely loose some good men and women in that game.
I never considered it hard, even on hard setting, unlike X-Com 2 which is quite hard.
