I bought the game in the recent sale and every attempt to run it has frozen at the start. It flashes through the first artwork depicting a character and freezes on the second (although I can still move the mouse). I tried running as admin and in compatibility mode (XP SP2). Any help would be appreciated.

I run this game on windows 8 as administrator (no compatibility mode) and it runs fine. Could you give more information?
