It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

When starting launcher and clicking config, it just stops 1/3 of the way across; never resumes.
Not sure why.

Regardless of why, the fix is simple. Start the game directly and configure it from in there. Works fine then! :-)

Don't you think maybe Gog should have fixed this since it's been a problem ever since Steam.
So, this version isn't fixed either?

I bought Jade Empire through steam and nothing I tried got it to work so I got excited when I saw that GoG had it listed. Good then I checked the forums before buying it.
It should not freeze. However, that's no reason to avoid getting it, since it is still fully functional.

I almost gave up because of that and am glad I didn't.

Now I just need to decide weather it's worth playing a game with no regenerating health/mana/stamina. :-s
Loads up pretty slow on WIn8 , but it never crashes.

Config Utility crashes randomly for me, sometimes it starts up and then crashes and sometimes it doesn't even manage to start completely before crashing (Windows 8, 64-bit)

Good to know that this is an option, thanks.
The config utility doesn't freeze on my Win7 64-bit machine, but it does crash two out of three times.

It freezes every time on my Win 7 64-bit machine. I'm glad you can configure settings in game though.
EDIT: Make sure you change the Aspect Ratio to widescreen if you're using a widescreen res. It doesn't automatically do that like most games.

This is still an issue on Win 10 machines, but the workaround is the same: Launch the game and configure it from there.
