Hello,

I seem to have a problem with the game. When I save the game, it shows like its creating a save, but unfortunately when I try to load it shows that I don't have any saved games.

Also, when I tried to exit the village, the game crushed, said it can not load the game ( probably the game tried to load some autosave with your accomplishments in the area) and crushed.

Is this a know problem ? can I fix this ?

If you have Vista, Win7 or Win8 and you've installed into program files folder uninstall and reinstall somewhere else (c:\ games or something. Anything is fine as long as it's not inside program files folder).

do you think the game is not able to create his save directory in Program files ?

Please let me know whats the path and the name of the folder where the game saves, maybe I can try to create it manually.

try to remove all your saves from 'save' directory (move them somewhere safe) and try again. If it works, it would mean that one of your older saves is corrupt.

Thanks, but I dont have any save...

the "save" folder from the instalation folder of the game is empty...

Thanks, man! I had the same problem (for some reason, every shortcut on my laptop lost the "start as admin" command, so the game couldn't save anymore)

I think it is because the game stores saved games along with the game files, and Windows have these files locked after installation (Administrators circumvent this).
Another solution could be to install in another directory than the standard option. Fx in C:/Games/JadeEmpire. This directory should not be locked by Windows.

No-one has mentioned this so I thought I'd better, after the first "Run as Administrator", you can run it normally. Seems there is some file it has to create (maybe the autosave), which it can only create as admin. It also doesn't matter whether it's installed under Program Files or c:\games\ , you have to run the game as Administrator once.

I had the same problem, even after trying everything mentionned here.

I simply reinstalled the game and it dit the trick for me.
