As a Unity programmer myself, I've collected some bugs, that could be fixed quickly and would have a great effect on the game:
- The "Collect 500 ice event" -> is counting double if transferred to an other sector. (Had ca 280 when the task disappeared.)
- Switching On/Off energy on building tab and on Energy map is not consistent! (Have to click 2-3x to normalize.)
KEYBOARD fixes:
Default keyboard key for Message open/close should be [TAB] key
Default keyboard key for Energy Map should be [CapsLock] key
(Because they are near [ASDW] keys, so it would be more user and hand-friendly)
- Keyboard [Q] and [E] should jump to fixed 0-30-60-90 degree, reset the view to these.
(Currently it's random-chaos.)
- Keyboard Arrow Keys [left/right/up/down] do not work. (They should be alternate [ASDW] keys by default)!
- Keyboard keys: [PageUP] [PageDown] should jump to prev/next sector, focusing view to default 0°.
ASTEROIDS:
- Asteroid's "Avoid" switch does not refresh graphics, only if moving mouse outside of the box.
- Same problem by "High priority" switches!
- Instead of clicking the 1 pixel small asteroid itself, the PANEL above it (showing the amount and type) should be clickable!
- Multiple asteroid panels should be selectable to disable them all at once.
- Mining/cargo ships: if an asteroid is mined/depleted, it should inform the other miners/cargo ships to choose a new destination immediately! (It is logical too.)
(It is not just a user-friendly interface control, but logically a "future administrator at a space station with hyper-drive" would have a better touch screen too, and not clicking 1-1 dot on screen one by one... would he?)
- Colonisation Center : The detailed explanation should be:
"Preparing non-workers for ..." (Instead of "Preparing crew for ...")
- Cryonics Center Research: "Production speed is increased by ...%" >> Text should be replaced by: "Working speed is ... "
(Because it's not "producing" anything, simply de-freezing people.)
- By destroying a building the confirmation tab should list the resources we will receive back.
(Can be placed on the info tab too, no need to pop up a separate center-window.)
- By cancelling the build at EVA Airlock [X] it should warn that most of the prepared materials will be lost!
(200 Polimer -> 60, 5 Electronics -> 1 left)
or (even better, if) give back ALL resources.
Finally the most important things:
- The whole game is lagging after opening more sectors and collecting more materials!
(At the end of the game I had max 3 fps instead of 30.)
Make an option to be able to: Turn OFF walking and working people. Also reduce Unity 3D object number inside stock piles!
- Too small letters on a 4K laptop display. Both Message box, and Tutorials. (A must have Setting!)
- ! yellow Message popup sign on the left can not be clicked properly (only at the middle of the icon) and should be much bigger!
