Does anyone know of a way to remove or circumvent the fee for saving the game? It is the only thing that currently keeps me from playing this old classic again.

You can use this loader. It removes the need to pay for saving and also gets rid of copy protection.

Thank you very much. I’m usually not a friend of messing with files in this way, but I’ll give it a try. I really want to play the game again.
