I'm experiencing that the game freezes and crashes a few (~10) seconds after launch, if I don't do anything then it dies during the logo screen - when the little man is in the middle of the screen, but if I click to skip, I can get to the menu screen, but it freezes before I can start a new game.

Any ideas for a solution?

Ok, it turns out the game really has issues when the browser (Firefox for me) is running - Browser running => game crash, Browser not running => game is playable

Ok, it turns out the game really has issues when the browser (Firefox for me) is running - Browser running => game crash, Browser not running => game is playable
Maybe that problem is caused by the hardware acceleration option available in Firefox. This issue is very common if you play many games with Firefox running.

In the options of Firefox, go to the Performance section and disable "Use recommended performance settings" and then disable "Use hardware acceleration when available". Otherwise, you must close the browser before playing.
