Well after reading about the new Wolfenstein game, I was reminded of Iron Storm... Alternate history where WW1 never ended in case of The New Order, WW2 continued on with the Germans essentially winning.
Both games have an alternate history where you fight germans in the 1960's or so, with a mix of retro and steampunk, industrialpunk? weapons. A mix of old and modern, and completely imaginative weapon design.
I'm wondering fi the game will be as close to a spiritual sequel that I'll get the chance to play. But also mixing in what made the last few wolfenstein games cool as well.
