PLEASE FORGET THIS I REMOVED THE GAME AND RE INSTALLED AND IT NOW WORKS AS IT SHOULD.

Macos10: I just spent 2 odd hours playing the game only to find that on exiting the game it saves nothing. On next load
only option is top start a new game.

I assume I have overlooked something here because on game exit there was no warning such as ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU WANT TO QUIT AS ALL PROGRESS WILL BE LOST.

I found in game that the game auto saves at the end of a floor/dungeon on the lowest two difficulty levels
only.

I feel the game save mechanic is not fit for purpose for a general casual player. As I said I was two odd hours in and was not close to the end of the first floor.

EDIT: I HAVE REQUESTED A REFUND.
When you click on Start Game, you'll have the option to continue the old one or to start a new run.

Nope I did not get an option to continue the old game only to start a new one. Also on the net I have seen others with the same issue.

Ok, that's a strange bug then. Haven't encountered it yet. For me the game always starts where I left it.

Sorry I omitted to say this issue is with the Mac version.
