Is it just me or is that installer just installing version 1 and not the updated one.

Ive played through to house of horrors only to discover that the maps reset when i backtracked to hunt secrets. So i looked up the bug and saw that its been fixed, went to grab the installer and noticed that its the one i used in the first place (filename: ion_fury_1_02_32557.sh),

so i redownload it, backed up my saves, uninstalled the game, reinstalled with the redownloaded installer for good measure and its still v1.00.

No one else having this problem?
Yep, someone screwed up. Game data & binaries are exactly the same whether you install 1.00 or "1.02". I sent support a message.

Right i have 1.02 running, Should anyone else have the same issue this is what i did.

i downloaded the windows installer to get the files from there, you want fury.grp, fury.grpinfo, fury_nodrm.exe and fury_nodrm.bin. Replace these files in your linux installs 'game' folder (/path/to/GOG/ION Fury/game). Set them all as executable (? the gog installer does this ). And hey presto v 1.02, run as normal..

So in a nutshell GOG repackaged version 1 and pushed it as 1.02, build number on the file and all. Seems they literally just selected the wrong files when doing the deed and never bothered testing/checking that the correct version was working with their installer.

"Does it run?.... Ship it, I'm going to lunch"

A minor slip up, ill tease but i ain't but hurt about it.
