Why Games in Development?
For Ion Maiden, we wanted to develop a special "Preview Campaign" which is available through Games in Development. The campaign is specially made to introduce people to the world of Ion Maiden.
The Preview Campaign is a fully finalized and polished product, which you can all play right now.
During the Games in Development period, we'll periodically update the campaign and introduce new features and content to the game.
Later this year, the full Single-player Campaign will be released as a free update to all of you!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the In Development version?
The Full Version of Ion Maiden will include a range of additions.
A completely new campaign, as well as the following features:
The true successor to classic shooters such as Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior and Blood.
Built using the original "Build" engine, with additional enhancements to further improve the technology.
Beautiful hand-crafted artwork, built using original old-school tools and methodologies.
7 exciting Zones, each spanning multiple maps.
Tons of enemies, weapons and carnage!
Best of both worlds! ION MAIDEN brings back the classic '90s FPS action you love, with modern additions such as physics and checkpoints.
Classic level design, no procedural generation! Expect multiple paths, cool effects, and complex set pieces!
True tracked module music!
Incredible weapons with alternate firemodes!
... And about Multiplayer... Stay tuned!
What is the current state of the In Development version?
The current In Development version is called "Preview Campaign", and includes an exclusive Ion Maiden Mini-Campaign.
This will later be updated to the full version of the game.
Will the game be priced differently during and after the Games In Development period?
No
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
Community feedback will help us improve and perfect ION MAIDEN.
With the developers being long time veterans of the most active Build Engine community there is, making something cool and actively listening to community feedback to create the best possible game has been our goal since day one.
Through GOG forums, and our Discord, we'll actively listen to the community during the development of ION MAIDEN. So tell us how you feel about level design, gameplay elements, sound, and anything you deem important. We'll take it into account for the full game.
The community has always been the back-bone of 3D Realms titles such as Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior, and will continue to be so!
