Every game has it's troubles to clear before you can play comfortably, I already see some posts talking about Ion Fury bugs and such so I thought it would be a good idea to put all of our annoyances with the game on one thread and help each other fix them.
So this is my contribution to the thread... Hope it helps.
1: Black Screen on START
Problem Details:
Once the game was downloaded through GOG Galaxy, I would start it and would soon meet a white screen that changed to a black one while the amazing title music played... but there was nothing on the screen, the game was running, as I could use the keyboard to cycle through the options and hear the sound effects but it wouldn't show anything but the blackness of the void of my pain (for not being able to play the game)
Fix:
Don't be like me and try to reinstall it or repair it and loose your time, fix is so easy as just freaking changing the resolution to anything that is not OPENGL in the launch window. Seems my Potatoputer hates OPENGL.
Bad Performance
Problem Details:
While this game doesn't require a powerhouse PC, many of us still (try to) game in a potatosquash. Needless to say, 1920 x 1080p OPENGL settings didn't help my run ´n gun experience. It was choppy as hell and had many slow downs. This also somehow affected the mouse sensitivity and made it floaty... if that makes sense.
Fix:
Easy, if you (try to) game in a cucumbertato that HATES OPENGL Try these settings!
Go to Options
Then, on Display settings, leave everything as is except upscaling: Change it to None (When it's active, it makes the game look PIXELATED AS HELL on lower resolutions, if you turn it off, you can turn down resolution and the game will still look smooth)
Then on Video
Resolution: 1280 x 720
Renderer: Classic
Fullscreen: Yes
V-SYNC: I leave it ON to reduce screen tearing, but do with this and fps offset what you need)
FPS LIMIT: I leave it at 60
FPS offset: 0
With this settings I can run the game pretty well with minimum fps drops (if any) and minimal screen tearing
I also use Rivatuner to set limit fps to 60 and D3DOVERRIDER to activate Triple buffer and Force V-Sync on my games. This might or might not be of help to you, I have to put all of the stuff I use with my Cabbagetato.
My specs:
A 2010 Imac with Windows 7 Bootcamp.
Proccesor: Core i3
Graphics Card: ATI RADEON HD 5670 2 GB ( 512 Dedicated to Video)
RAM: 4 GB
So this is my contribution to the thread... Hope it helps.
