Well, GOG did, sorta. Voidpoint is baffled.
Dagnabit, that new updated seemed sweet as heck, weapon alt-fire and ill gunk like that is the bee's knees and the eels' heels.
Nice

Time to try it out ^_^

Can't wait for full release
I got it already from GOG. It's a new entry in my library for some reason. Also, I couldn't install it without removing the Update 2 version first.
I can confirm there's now 2 entries in my library for this game.
There is HUGE improvement on performance under Software renderer, even these low end wooden PCs can now play it without need of 2x DOS style "upscalling". It especially shows on new HoH map that is selectable like episode since old saves won't work. ;-)
Wow, this level is really awesome. I love the music.
So... Update 4.1 is showing up again for some people in GOG??? I still only see options to install Update 1 or Update 2. :'(

If you bought Bombshell Digital Deluxe Edition, you only have access to the old demo (version 2).

If you bought Ion Maiden itself, you have both the old demo and the new one (versions 2 and 4.1). If it doesn't appear in your library, refresh it: https://www.gog.com/account/refresh

What???? So GOG is ripping us off if we bought the Digital Deluxe Edition? This is our exclusive access to the beta (Preview Campaign) versions?

I knew that Digital Deluxe Edition owners were to be excluded from the final retail release, but this isn't the final retail release yet.

Nah, nobody is ripping anyone off, it's simply that the period in which we (Voidpoint) were willing to give free access to updates for people who purchased 3DR's Bombshell game is now over. Since the "in development" version now includes content from the full version it seemed like a good place to start providing updates only to people who have actually purchased our game.

People on Steam who were granted access to the preview through purchasing Bombshell aren't getting anything newer than update 2 either--like here on GOG, the version given to those customers is a separate appid.

Maybe if you contact GOG support you can get them to give you some account credit which you can spend on the full version of the game? They were never supposed to give access to the new update to people who haven't bought the game, much less grant it and then take it away afterward. I can see how that would be very frustrating and tbh we are pretty frustrated as well.

I'm pretty sure they actually added the product id for the full version to the accounts of everyone who owns the deluxe version of Bombshell, sent all owners an automated email saying they had a new product added to their account, and then had to remove it afterward because none of those were copies of the game that had actually sold. That's my understanding at least. This reminds me a bit of the time they were supposed to email private discount codes to owners of Bombshell for 10% off Ion Maiden but tweeted them to the public instead...
Disappointed a bit, but I guess it's not the end of the world.

For a mere $20, I might even purchase it again if I want to keep receiving updates/releases that are distributed through GOG (in addition to 3DR and Steam).

Really looking forward to the return of the option to purchase a big box set too - Really wish I had heard of this game back when that was first being sold.

Just wondering though... When was the cut-off date?

I can understand and accept the reasoning for not providing further updates (from version 4 moving forward) to this particular release, but I was just wondering if Update 3 RC4 had been available through Steam prior to the cut-off date, would it at all be possible to receive one final back-dated update through GOG of Update 3?

That would be super cool. As far as most weapon usage goes, that has been my favorite version so far.

I'm slightly worried because the bad kerning of the console font has not been fixed. Most monospace fonts fix the issue by centering the letters i, j and l (and maybe even by adding some part of a serif even if it is a sans serif font like Adobe's Source Code Pro). As it is now, it looks like the game is called “Ion Mai den” and it is “Ini ti a li zi ng” the sound with ”64 voi ces”, “2 channel s” and “16-bi t”.
