Normally people get motion sickness from a too low fov. For me with this game it's the other way around. For me the fov is too high, resulting in a very heavy fisheye view. Gives me a hard time to 100% enjoy what's currently available of Ion Maiden.

So because of that, I have to ask: is there any way to manually configure the ingame fov? If not, will there be an option for it in the future? Also what is the default fov of the game at the moment and is it horizontal or vertical fov?

Have you tried playing at differnt resolutions, and/or tried in a window instead of full screen?

Maybe you'll be able to lessen this effect by trying different resolutions . I haven't actually looked to see if the various resolutions offer different aspect ratios though, so I don't know for sure at this moment if this might help or not.
Looking at the resolution options now. Based on the choices available, if you do try various different options (and launch it windowed instead of full screen if need be), I think that maybe you'll find a particular setting that might just work better for you:

Resolution _ Aspect Ratio

1400x1050 = 1:0.75
1280x960 = 1:0.75
1152x864 = 1:0.75
1024x768 = 1:0.75
800x600 = 1:0.75
640x480 = 1:0.75
1440x900 = 1:0.625
1280x800 = 1:0.625
1280x768 = 1:0.6
1360x768 = 1:0.564706
1280x720 = 1:0.5625
1366x768 = 1:0.562225
1280x600 = 1:0.46875

Turns out with the new update using OpenGL instead of Software mode does fix the problem with objects kinda morphing at certain view angles. I didn't used OpenGL before because on older version OpenGL would include texture filtering, which is always a big NO GO in my books. Using the current version with OpenGL it seems the texture filtering is removed completely, which is a really good thing and should never be changed again.
