So i played this awesome game a few weeks ago and finished it. And i thought id give it a 2nd go but for some strange reason this time around the Desktop icon is white blank non of my other gog games i download have this problem. Anyone else have this annoying little problem?

Could it be your icon cache in Windows? Try resetting it (clearing it and rebuilding the cache). Here are some results from Google on how to do it.

No ive already tryed that thanks. Its seem to be ion fury that its only happening to. I try downloading a few other of my gog games and all of them are fine. Strange thing i found if i right click the blank icon and go proberties and then click the change icon it give me an error saying a file is missing (goggame-1740836875.ico). Ive tryed running the gog repair tool but it didnt work.

It could be last time i played i didnt bother with creating and desktop shortcut icon thing. So i didnt notice anything wrong its a trival thing i guess. The game works fine and i dont have the probs with any other of my gog game shortcuts.

Just checked my Ion Fury installation and that file is present

<Wherever you installed to>\Ion Fury\goggame-1740836875.ico

If it isn't present for you then that is why the icon is blank. Maybe anti-virus or something is falsely identifying it and deleting/quarantining the icon file?

It shouldn't affect the game, of course, it is only an icon, but yes, it is a strange one.

Same exact thing is happening to me, and it worked before as well (although on a different laptop). I even tried doing the game verify / repair -- it seems to start downloading something but doesn't fix the problem.

Weird.

Just installed again and it worked fine this time.

I'll chalk this one up to gremlins.
