just as the title recommends, can not change the video settings. a keep getting a black screen every time. Something even crazier is it says i'm running 4k when i'm not. i'm running 1440p.

Ok, I had the same problem, and got a solution.

For me OpenGL mode worked, but software mode did not (black screen, with audio), which made no sense. I remembered always having issues with Roller Coaster Tycoon upon second boot; clearly the issue was not with these (older engine) programs, but something else. It seems like software rendering seems to prioritise the GOG client and/or the client ingame layover.

So the solution is to not boot the game through the GOG Galaxy Client, but rather use the fury_nodrm.exe in the game folder.

Go to "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Ion Fury", open the fury.cfg file and change the resolution there. Make the cfg file "read only" afterwards and launch the game.
