I've been enjoying the game and just a few missions before the end my saves started breaking. Whenever I save mid-mission last snapshot of the game shows up frozen then the game crashes onto desktop. It is fine whenever I load a save where I pick my units before I start the mission proper.

It's infuriating having gone so far and not being able to complete a level due to a broken save. It happens even when I make a new save the effect is the same - last snapshot of the saved game and crashes to desktop upon loading. I don't know what to do with this. I quit after mission 22.
