Shoutout to Subset Games, this is impressive as hell. Especially after FTL, because that was already very enjoyable, and so my expectations were high.

Streamlined strategy, good rogue-lite system, difficult but not overly punishing and with reduced Bad Luck Sydrome compared to FTL. I enjoy it. A lot.
Agreed and it has that replayability that gets me hooked in the same way FTL did. Love it so far.
Definitely fun and addictive, but the game did something to me that infuriates me beyond belief. (And many games in my past are guilty of this as well)

It lets you expend the maximum amount of time to get to the last battle only to have you die literally within the very same round you'd win.

And it's done this to me TWICE in a row now.

I think I'm gonna step away and play some other games; cool off before this game attempts a three-peat on me. Man, if you're gonna waste my time, let me die EARLY in the play, don't let me invest this much and then just rug pull me.
It's cool that people seem to like it, but I have absolutely no idea what the appeal of the game is. It looks boring and repetitive as hell with no story, no characters, weak music, etc.
It also doesn't help that I detest games that are desiged to be replayed over and over.
What makes matters worse is that people don't even seem to be able to say what's supposedly so good about it, which makes the game even more baffling to me.

What's the point of throwing your frustration at this game? You did it on release day and you'rre doing it now here. If this is not a game for you - that's OK, but why do you criticize a game you're not interested with? Move along and acknowledge the fact people can enjoy Into the Breach.

Dude, chill with the sperg. I gave the game another look and tried to read some comments/reviews from people since someone online told me to give it another look.
You seem pretty touchy.

Sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. In the release thread you said that every praising review must be misleading and you don't follow other people opinions in general. Now you're saying that someone told you to look at it again... Why bother?

What baffled me is your inconsistency in argumenting your point of view.

Wow, you keep on sperging. So how much must I explain myself before you can move on with your life?
Well whatever, you have issues and I don't see the point of replying to you anymore. I'd just sit here wasting time on someone that would never be satisfied and basically only wants to belittle me for no reason. No thanks.
Edit: To add, basically you just want to turn this into some pointless shitflinging when I did absolutely nothing wrong.

Right, I have issues. You started bashing the game you have never played and with no intention to buy with pretentious theory about scammed review system, but I have issues. Let me remind you that you posted in this subforum as well, for no reason at all apparently. But feel free to feel offended and have a nice day, thank you very much.

To get you out of your frustration, i enjoy:

* it's simplicity; takes just 10 minutes to learn it.
* it's backstory/concept; all civilization was wiped out by a race of giant insects and only a team of soldiers with the ability to travel back in time has survived -- will they be able to defeat the enemy?
* it's gameplay; the mix of puzzle & tactics is great and it doesn't grow old due to a) the procedural generated levels, missions & deployment of enemies, b) the ability to win a battle in a number of ways and not just by using only a certain tactic, c) all the different mechs you can control and customize.
* it's presentation; i dig the simplicity of it's graphics, i enjoy the soundtrack very much, i like all the little details that the game has to offer (for example, at the start/end of each battle, you can "hear" all the people that populate the civilian buildings by seeing popup captions that read: "What is this noise?" or "Stop crowding the windows" or even "Dad, look!" and things like that that i absolutely love).
* the fact that each battle takes about 5-10 minutes to finish, so it's perfect when i don't have much time for PC gaming; just beware of the strong "just one more turn" thing.

Judging from your post, it isn't something you'd enjoy so you better look elsewhere. Just know that it isn't about the story or the characters; it isn't a cRPG game -- it's a turn-based tactics game that's just using some common RPG mechanics such as experience points, ability to buy better equipment, traits.
