Actually, no. The Squad victory medals do not give you coins.
When you go to the Change Squad menu, then click the "View All Achievements" button, it'll show you everything that gives a coin.

I wish that they would. Many of the achievements that give you coins are kind of silly things to pursue or care about. I'm not going to play through an entire game just to try to get the "Block 4 Vek at the same time" achievement, for example. I will play through a game to get a victory medal, but not getting any coins for it takes some of the incentive out of it. It's rather dumb and unrealistic that there's someone willing to give me coins for silly, "trick shot" achievements, but not for saving all of humanity.
I think that the devs should give out coins for victory medals and, if need be, compensate for it by increasing the price of new squads.

Lol, my goal of each run is ultimately win + get all 3 squad achievment unlocked. I failed two times, I didn't unlock all achievement in one run on starting squad and did not win on zenith.
Also, it's impossible to get all achievement in one run for custom squad.
