The music used during the trailer was very pleasant to listen to. Reminded me of some of the sci-fi shows I've watch in the past like Star Trek and it's associated series.

Is this type of music a theme throughout the game or was it only for the trailer video?
.
The music in the trailer was composed by Mr. Grant Kirkhope and is actually the game's main theme song. It plays in the main menu and during the game, as well. The entire soundtrack was composed by Grant Kirkhope and Ryan Mcquinn, so you can expect to hear music that is cohesive in style. Star Trek was definitely one of the inspirations.

We're very proud and couldn't be happier with our composers' work and the game's soundtrack. By the way, the soundtrack won an award at the Global Music Awards of 2019 for outstanding achievement.

Thank you for the reply Adam.

That's great to hear. I've always felt games are more enjoyable to play with wonderful atmospheric music in the background to bring out a deep sense of joy and wonder. We always need inspiration and fuel for our imagination.

I wish to express my appreciation to both Grant Kirkhope and Ryan Mcquinn for their musical contribution.

I also know it takes a great many minds and a lot of passion to succeed in sharing their dreams with the rest of us.

So without good teamwork, success is less than certain and for that, I'd like to extend my praise to the rest of the team as well for all their hard work. Though I'm sure it was a lot of fun in the making. :)

Thanks a lot for your kind words of appreciation for the game's music!

I agree that music is a very important element in making an enjoyable game experience. That was one of the reasons why we did all we could to get the best composers, even if that was certainly not cheap for a small indie dev studio like ours :) Although I have to say the price was totally deserved and worth it.

Getting the music right can be hard and does require a lot of good team work. Fortunately, we were very lucky with our composers who did a fantastic job and were great fun to work with. I cannot recommend their work enough.

I believe our music is great. However, and above all, it was the fun part that I take the most from this process. It was a lot of fun and very enjoyable to work with Mr. Grant Kirkhope and Mr. Ryan McQuinn, and we still have plans to add more music to the game, and I very much look forward to work with them again.

Purchased the game last night. It took a while for me to decide since I have a huge backlog of games. But it was your interactions with the community here that finally decided it for me.

I really appreciate developers who take the time to respond to the users here. (Usually I wait until the price goes down to 75% due to that backlog) So I like to support the efforts of such indie developers.

I felt the same way about Stellar Tactics and Astrox Imperium, I'd think you'd like those two developers. They also engage the GoG cummunity in a similar manner. Good to see there are more such folks out there than I realized.

I look forward whatever you guys and gals are planning next. Good luck to you and your team at Praxis Games, may fortune smile on you all and stay safe during Covid. :)
