Hey guys,
I just installed the game. However, when I clicked the game icon I got the following error:
"The application failed to initialize properly."
I also tried to run Nitro, and glide. So far no luck!
System Information:
Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 2
ATI Radeon 9200 graphics card
AMD Athlon XP 3000+
Thanks.

Hi, ozgun!
I think that you shoud install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5,
Good luck to you!
Ah, I had this problem as well on Windows XP 32-bit. It seems out that GOG modified the i76.exe with Visual C++ 2008 or a similar program, which requires a system package to be installed before files edited with those types of programs can be run. I found an update on Microsoft's website here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf
That fixed the problem for me :-)

Hi pantherhead,
Thanks for your advice. I installed .NET Framework 3.0 and 3.5 and it fixed the problem. I just tested the game on XP and it is working well so far. Thanks again.
Hi wierzbowski,
When I tried to install the game on Linux using "wine", I remember it was complaining about not finding some visual C++ stuff. If I can succeed to install Visual C++ 2008 on Linux, I may run this game on Linux too. Thanks for your advice too.
Cheers!

Just want to let you know that I've solved the C++ problem under Linux, but ran into another one. I started a thread for it here.

Hi everdred,
Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a shot when I'm available.
Hi installed 3.5 and still getting the not initialised message - any further ideas?
