Hi everyone,
I'm completely stoked for the release of i'76 on GOG! A fantastic game, and I'm really excited to play it.
One question I had, though, is about the Glide mode that is apparently included with the game. I've noticed that some folks have been talking about launching the game with a -glide option, which implies that the better-graphics version of i'76 is available. . . But how is this possible without a Glide wrapper?
Does the i'76 GOG installer stick a Glide wrapper onto your computer? The only Glide wrapper I've been able to Google for is on a page that Google claims is loaded down with spyware and trojans, so I really don't want to risk getting one myself. Thanks!

Gog used OpenGLide - an open source glide wrapper that translates Glide calls to OpenGL.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply and the info. Hopefully OpenGLide won't cause any conflicts on my machine, but I'm just happy not to have to dig around for a glide wrapper on my own. Thanks again!

I do not agree.

Gog might use OpenGlide in other games, but definitely not in this one.
Because the game does look a lot better with the glide wrapper nglide installed (available separate on the internet) and using the -glide option of the game.
The only drawback is, that the resolution seems to be fixed to 640*480 pixels when using the -glide option with the nglide wrapper.

If it were using OpenGlide, the textures would be bilinear filtered, this is not the case, when ran preconfigured by the gog launcher.
